LEAP YEAR IS MINT'S FLAGSHIP PROGRAM, HAVING SERVED 20 ARTISTS SINCE 2011. EACH YEAR A SELECTION PANEL OF ATLANTA ARTS LEADERS REVIEW APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED BY OVER 50 VISUAL ARTISTS FROM ACROSS THE CITY. THE PANEL SELECTS FIVE DIVERSE, EMERGING ARTISTS FROM THE ATLANTA AREA TO PARTICIPATE IN THE YEAR-LONG FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM. MINT PROVIDES THE ARTISTS WITH: DEDICATED STUDIO SPACE FOR SIX MONTHS; A TWO-WEEK RESIDENCY AT THE HAMBRIDGE CENTER; OPPORTUNITIES FOR PUBLIC ART AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT; COMPLIMENTARY MEMBERSHIPS TO C4 ATLANTA, ATLANTA CONTEMPORARY, AND MOCA GA; STUDIO VISITS WITH RENOWED GUESTS CURATORS AND CRITICS; AN ESTABLISHED ATLANTA-BASED ARTIST TO SERVE AS A MENTOR; AND A SOLO EXHIBITION. ALL ARTISTS WHO PARTICIPATE IN OUR RESIDENCY PROGRAM ARE PAID A CASH STIPEND.
