THE SAMARITAN INN IS A HOMELESS SHELTER LOCATED IN MCKINNEY, TX. THAT CAN ACCOMODATE 170 MEN, WOMEN, OR CHILD RESIDENTS AT ANY GIVEN TIME.OUR THRIFT STORE IS A SEPARATE 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION THAT WAS ESTABLISHED TO ASSIST THE INN'S RESIDENTS WITH CLOTHING OR HOUSEHOLD NEEDS USING THE INTERNAL VOUCHER SYSTEM. WE ALSO SELL DIRECTLY TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. SALES ARE COMPOSED OF DONATIONS MADE FROM THE PUBLIC THAT LIVE WITHIN THE MCKINNEY, TX AREA OR THAT ARE WITHIN THE DELIVERY PICKUP AREA OF COLLIN COUNTY. CURRENTLY, WE DO NOT DEPEND ON FUNDING FROM ANY GRANTS OR OTHER FORM OF FUNDING OTHER THAN THE SALES MADE WITHIN OUR STORE, WHICH IS OPEN TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY WEEKLY.
