TO ACHIEVE STATEWIDE INTEGRATED UTILITIES EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS, RESPONSE AND RECOVERY CAPABILITIES THROUGH COMPREHENSIVE AND AGGRESSIVE PLANNING, TRAINING, EDUCATION, REPRESENTATION AND COORDINATION BETWEEN MEMBER UTILITIES AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

PURSUANT TO A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (CAL OES), THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED EMERGENCY OPERATIONS SUPPORT FOR GAS, ELECTRIC, WATER WASTEWATER, TELECOMMUNICATIONS (INCLUDING WIRELESS), AND PETROLEUM PIPELINE UTILITIES TO ENSURE THE PRESERVATION OF LIVES AND PROPERTY, AS WELL AS THE PROTECTION OF CALIFORNIA'S ECONOMIC INFRASTRUCTURE. THE ORGANIZATION IS LOCATED AT THE CAL OES HEADQUARTERS AND SERVED AS THE CAL OES UTILITIES BRANCH LIAISON AT THE STATE OPERATIONS CENTER. THESE PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS SUBSTANTIALLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSE AND MISSION.
