THIS ORGANIZATION IS ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO THE NON-PROFIT SECTOR AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISES THROUGH EDUCATIONAL TOOLS MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND IDENTIFICATION OF RESOURCES FOR THEIR SUSTAINABILITY. IT AIMS TO PROVIDE MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING SUPPORT TO COMMUNITY-BASED PROJECTS THAT SEEK TO GENERATE ECONOMIC SOCIAL OR CULTURAL TRANSFORMATION.

MANIOBRA. THE ORGANIZATION LAUNCHED TWO INNOVATIVE PROJECTS: NUESTROS TAMBORES A PROJECT CREATED TO MAKE VISIBLE AND CELEBRATE PERCUSSION CRAFTS AND THEIR CREATORS AS AN ELEMENT OF HERITAGE ART IDENTITY AND ECONOMY AND MANIOBRA A CULTURAL EMPLOYMENT INITIATIVE BENEFITING 37 ARTISTS AND 25 ORGANIZATIONS LOCATED IN 12 CITIES OF THE PR ARCHIPELAGO.
CEC. DURING 2022 AS PART OF ITS MISSION CEC CONTINUED TO OFFER MANAGEMENT AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO THE PUERTO RICAN ARTISTIC CULTURAL AND CREATIVE SECTOR. IT WAS ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DECENTRALIZATION OF ACCESS IMPACTING 52 BENEFICIARIES IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUS YEAR. SIMILARLY THE CULTURAL CENSUS INITIATIVE WAS LAUNCHED PRESENTING DATA RELATED TO THE ECOSYSTEM VALIDATING THE NEEDS OF THE SECTOR AND DISSEMINATING THE RESULTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ARTISTIC COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION THE THIRD CULTURAL CONSUMPTION SURVEY WAS PRESENTED A STUDY THAT REVEALED TRENDS AFTER THE IMPACT OF COVID 19.
ÉTNICA. 2022 WAS A YEAR OF REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENTS FOR ÉTNICA L3C. A HIGHLIGHT WAS THE LAUNCH OF THE FOURTH EDITION OF REVISTA ÉTNICA FEATURING GROUNDBREAKING COVER INTERVIEWS WITH TERESA KAROLINA THE FIRST BLACK TRANSGENDER WOMAN TO GRACE THE COVER OF A PUERTO RICAN MAGAZINE; THE HONORABLE ANA IRMA RIVERA THE FIRST BLACK AND OPENLY LESBIAN SENATOR FROM PUERTO RICO; AND JASMINE CAMACHO-QUINN THE FIRST BLACK PUERTO RICAN TO WIN A GOLD MEDAL. ANOTHER MILESTONE WAS THE PUBLICATION OF THE ANTHOLOGY SANARÉ THE FIRST PUBLISHED WORK OF EDITORIAL ÉTNICA. FURTHER EXPANDING OUR GLOBAL REACH WE TRAVELED TO CALI COLOMBIA AS AN INVITED PRESS TO COVER THE PETRONIO ÁLVAREZ PACIFIC MUSIC FESTIVAL AND PARTICIPATED IN THE SECOND ALARI CONFERENCE ON AFRO-LATIN AMERICAN STUDIES AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY. IN PUERTO RICO ÉTNICA ORGANIZED HEALING WORKSHOPS AND SPACES FOR CHILDREN AND COMMUNITY LEADERS IN THE AFTERMATH OF HURRICANE FIONA IN EL ANCÓN DE LOÍZA. IN ADDITION WE ESTABLISHED THREE COMMUNITY KITCHENS IN LOÍZA PIÑONES VILLA CAÑONA AND MEDIANÍA ALTA WHERE APPROXIMATELY 5,000 HOT MEALS WERE DISTRIBUTED. OUR INFLUENCE EXTENDED TO VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS AND FAMILIES THAT PROVIDED AMONG OTHER THINGS FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOOD AND NECESSARY SUPPLIES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
