FEMA FUNDS FOR COVID-19 VACCINATION: THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED $11,200,000 THROUGH THE PUERTO RICO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO MAINTAIN PERMANENT VACCINATION CENTERS AROUND PUERTO RICO TO CONDUCT COMMUNITY VACCINATION EFFORTS AGAINST COVID-19. THROUGH AN EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN, THE ORGANIZATION INFORMED THE PEOPLE OF THE RISKS OF COVID-19 AND THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING THE VACCINE. DURING 2021 THERE WERE SEVEN VACCINATION CENTERS OPERATING AND A TOTAL OF 583,958 VACCINE DOSES WERE ADMINISTRATED. THIS PROGRAM WAS EXTENDED UNTIL JUNE 2022.
CORONAVIRUS RELIEF FUNDS FOR COVID-19 VACCINATION: THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED $5,293,129 THROUGH THE PUERTO RICO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO MAINTAIN PERMANENT VACCINATION CENTERS AROUND PUERTO RICO TO CONDUCT COMMUNITY VACCINATION EFFORTS AGAINST COVID-19. IN COLABORATION WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THIS PROGRAM WILL IMPACT OVER 250,000 PACIENTS WITH CRONIC DISEASES. THIS PROGRAM CLOSED ON DECEMBER 31, 2021.
