NATIONAL FISH AND WILDLIFE FOUNDATION FOR THE PURPOSE OF REMOVING MARINE DEBRIS THAT RESULTED FROM TYPHOON YUTU IN OCTOBER OF 2018 OF THE COASTAL SHALLOW WATERS OFF THE SOUTHERN SIDE OF SAIPAN AND THE TIINIAN HARBOR.


TASI WATCH IS FUNDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR'S CORAL REEF AND NATURAL RESOURCES PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON MARINE DEBRIS PREVENTION, WATERSHED MAINTENANCE, AND INVASIVE SPECIES VINE REMOVAL.


SCHOOLS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION, FUNDED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR'S CORAL REEF AND NATURAL RESOURCES PROGRAM, FOCUSES ON MIDDLE SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN WHERE, THROUGH HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES, THEY LEARN ABOUT OCEAN STEWARDSHIP, RAIN GARDEN IMPLEMENTATION ON THEIR CAMPUSES, PLANTING OF NATIVE SPECIES TREES, AND OTHER RELATED ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECTS.
