PROVIDE PERSONAL CARE HOMES, GROUP HOMES, HOST HOMES FOR TEMPORARY OR LONGTERM HOUSING. PERSONAL SUPPORT SERVICES TO CLIENTS IN THEIR INDIVIDUAL HOMES. SERVICES, SUPPLIES, FOOD AND TEMPORARILY HOUSING TO THE HOMELESS.

RHEMA HOUSING INC HAS BEEN SERVING THE COMMUNITY SINCE AUGUST 2003. OUR SERVICES CONSIST OF PROVIDING SERVICES TO PERSONS WHO ARE DISABLED. WE HAVE PROVIDED CARE TO OVER 3000 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. OUR ORGANIZATIONAL SERVICES CONSIST OF: PERSONAL CARE SUPPORT SERVICES (AIDES) TO DISABLED PERSONS IN THEIR HOMES. PERSONAL CARE SUPPORT INCLUDES ASSISTING WITH SHOWER, BED BATHS, DRESSING, TRANSFERRING FROM BED TO WHEELCHAIR, MEAL PREPARATION, ERRANDS, ETC FOR PERSONS WHO HAVE DIAGNOSIS WITH: SPINAL CORD INJURY: QUADRIPLEGICS, PARAPLEGICS; TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY: HEAD INJURY, STROKE, ANEURYSM, TUMOR ARTHRITIS/RHEUMATISM; CEREBRAL PALSY, MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY, MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS, PARKINSON'S DISEASE; PERSONAL CARE HOMES SERVING VETERANS, ELDERLY, ETC. GROUP HOME SERVING PERSONS WITH MENTAL HEALTH; SERVING THE HOMELESS DURING COVID 19 BY PROVIDING TEMPORARY HOUSING, FOOD, SUPPLIES, ETC; PROVIDING HOUSING PLACEMENT FOR DISABLED PERSONS; ASSIST PERSONS WITH HOME BUYING PROCESS; OUR ORGANIZATION WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE PERSONAL CARE SUPPORT AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND SERVICES TO HELP WITH HOMELESSNESS. WE HAVE RECENTLY BEEN CHOSEN TO HELP WITH HOMELESS PREVENTION FOR YOUNG ADULTS WHO ARE BEING RELEASED FROM FOSTER CARE. PROJECT IN PROGRESS: RHEMA TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM: OUR TRANSITION PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE HOUSING AND SERVICES TO YOUNG WOMEN, AGES 16-22, WHO ARE EITHER IN THE CARE OF THE DIVISION OF FAMILY AND CHILDREN SERVICES (DFCS) OR WHO HAVE BECOME HOMELESS. THE PROGRAM WILL ASSIST FEMALE CLIENTS FOR A PERIOD OF 18 MONTHS TO DEVELOP SKILLS LEADING TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND INDEPENDENCE, WHILE PROVIDING A SAFE LIVING ENVIRONMENT. YOUTH WILL RESIDE IN OUR HOMES OR APARTMENT SETTING, WHERE ALL BASIC NEEDS ARE MET, INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION FOR WORK SCHOOL OR HEALTH PURPOSES. IN ADDITION TO BUILDING OUR PROGRAMS, DOUGLAS COUNTY JUVENILE PUBLIC DEFENDERS OFFICE, DOUGLASVILLE, GA HAS AGREED TO SERVE AS OUR ADVISOR AS WE PURSUE CONTRACTING WITH DIVISION OF FAMILY CHILDREN SERVICES AS WE INTEND TO SUPPORT YOUTH IN THEIR TRANSITION OUT OF FOSTER CARE TO LIVE INDEPENDENTLY.
