THE HOUSING LEAGUE INC. PROVIDES AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR SALE TO LOW TO MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES BY WORKING TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS THAT TYPICALLY WOULD NOT HAVE A CHANCE AT HOME OWNERSHIP. THE REFURBISHMENT, PRESERVATION, AND SAFE AND SANITARY IMPROVEMENT TO AFFORDABLE RENTAL PROPERTIES IN A COST-EFFECTIVE FASHION STRENGTHENS THE CIVIC STRUCTURE BY EMPOWERING ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES TO IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE AND FEELING OF COMMUNITY.

THE HOUSING LEAGUE IS A MISSION DRIVEN AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROVIDER FOCUSED ON THE FLORIDA MARKETS. THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY ACTIVITY IS TO PURCHASE FORECLOSED PROPERTIES DIRECTLY FROM THE LENDERS, RENOVATE AND RESELL. THESE PROPERTIES ARE MARKETED SPECIFICALLY TO OWNER OCCUPIED BUYERS WHO QUALIFY AS LOW TO MODERATE INCOME ACCORDING TO HUD GUIDELINES. ADDITIONAL HOUSING WILL BE CONSTRUCTED FOR THIS PURPOSE IN FUTURE YEARS. THE TIMELINE FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION IS BASED ON ECONOMICS AND MARKET CONDITIONS.


THE HOUSING LEAGUE ALSO ACQUIRES PROPERTIES WHICH ARE TO BE RENTED TO LOW TO MODERATE INCOME TENANTS. ADDITIONAL HOUSING WILL BE CONSTRUCTED FOR THIS PURPOSE IN FUTURE YEARS. THE TIMELINE FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION IS BASED ON ECONOMICS AND MARKET CONDITIONS.


THE HOUSING LEAGUE IS ALSO PROVIDED SUPPORT BY THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN THE FORM OF DISCONTINUED CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT, MACHINERY, AND VEHICLES. THE HOUSING LEAGUE REPAIRS AND/OR RENEWS THE EQUIPMENT FOR USE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION.
