SOUTH FLORIDA AFTER-SCHOOL ALL-STARS SERVED 3,267 STUDENTS DURING THE 2020 -2021 FISCAL YEAR WITH COMPREHENSIVE AFTER-SCHOOL AND SUMMER CAMP SERVICES. THE MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS SERVED WERE PROVIDED WITH COURSES IN HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE, CAREER EXPLORATION, SERVICE LEARNING, FITNESS, NUTRITION, HIGH SCHOOL PREPARATION AND SOCIOEMOTIONAL LEARNING. DURING THIS YEAR, THE PROGRAM EXPANDED TO SERVE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AS WELL WITH THE SAME RANGE OF ACTIVITIES BUT ALSO PRIORITIZING TEST PREPARATION COURSES. WE PROVIDED SAFE SECURE ENVIRONMENTS, STARTING IN-PERSON AND TRANSITIONING TO VIRTUAL ONCE SCHOOL CLOSURES DUE TO THE PANDEMIC BEGAN. WE ALSO PROVIDE A PLACE FOR KIDS TO HAVE A POSITIVE OUTLET, AND BE AMONG PEERS AND ADULTS WHO CARE FOR THEM. THE GOAL WAS AND STILL IS TO HELP THEM GROW INTO PRODUCTIVE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
