WILDLIFE RESCUE AND REHABILITATION CENTER: DEDICATED TO REHABILITATION OF INJURED AND ORPHANED ANIMALS WITH A GOAL OF RETURNING THEM TO WILD NATIVE HABITAT. EQUALLY COMMITTED TO PUBLIC EDUCATION ON WILDLIFE ISSUES.

FWMA PROVIDED CLEAN SAFE FACILITIES, FOOD, AND MEDICAL CARE FOR 1,508 ANIMALS IN 2022 INCLUDING 574 WILD MAMMALS, 729 NATIVE BIRDS, 76 NATIVE REPTILES, AND 129 EXOTICS AND DOMESTICS. AROUND 1,000 (66%) WERE REHABILITATED AND RETURNED TO THE WILD. ANOTHER 31 (2%) WERE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER EDUCATION FACILITIES, 65 (4%) REMAINED IN CARE AT YEAR-END AND 117 DOMESTICS (8%) WERE ADOPTED. FWMA ALSO PROVIDES A PERMANENT HOME TO 27 EDUCATIONAL ANIMALS THAT ARE NOT RELEASABLE.
