THE OUTREACH PROGRAM PROMOTES INDEPENDENCE OF THE FAMILIES WE SERVE THROUGH A FOOD PANTRY AND DISTRIBUTION, ADVOCACY, CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR FOOD, CLOTHING, AND HOUSING. FOOD DISTRIBUTION IS SUPPORTED BY THE PALM BEACH COUNTY FOOD BANK, WHICH DONATES FRESH PRODUCE, CANNED GOODS, AND PREMADE MEALS TO BE DISTRIBUTED TO OUR FAMILIES. THE CENTER ALSO ACTS AS A COMMUNITY PARTNER AGENCY FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES TO ASSIST APPLICANTS AND RECIPIENTS OF ACCESS FLORIDA SERVICES.
THE PARENTCHILD + PROGRAM SENDS COUNSELORS TO HOMES TWICE PER WEEK FOR 30-MINUTE SESSIONS, OVER A TWO-YEAR PERIOD, TO HELP MOTHERS INTERACT WITH THEIR 2 TO 3 YEAR OLD CHILDREN TO INCREASE LITERACY SKILLS, ENHANCE SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND STRENGTHEN THE PARENT-CHILD RELATIONSHIP.
EARLY-CHILDHOOD EDUCATION INCLUDES VPK AND PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS ESTABLISHED TO FACILITATE THE FLORIDA VOLUNTARY PREKINDERGARTEN EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN OF FAMILIES IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES, AND INCLUDES AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE LOW-COST AFTERSCHOOL AND SUMMER CARE TO SUPPORT STUDENTS PHYSICAL, SOCIAL, AND EMOTIONAL NEEDS.
