SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMTO PROVIDE FOUR-YEAR SCHOLARSHIPS TOWARD THE ATTAINMENT OF A BACHELOR'S DEGREE AT A STATE OF FLORIDA PUBLIC COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY FOR THE UNDERSERVED HISPANIC AND MULTI-CULTURAL YOUTH OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY. THIS ASSISTS THE FINANCIALLY DISADVANTAGED CHILDREN WITH EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL NEEDS, FORMING PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS AND FUTURE LEADERS THROUGH EDUCATION; LEADING THE WAY TO A BRIGHTER TOMORROW.
BACK TO SCHOOL PROJECTPROVIDING BOOK BAGS AND SCHOOL SUPPLIES TO THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN IN FREE-LUNCH AREA ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS WITHIN A PREDOMINANTLYHISPANIC/AFRO-AMERICAN STUDENT BODY THROUGHOUT MIAMI-DADE COUNTY.SCHOOLS ARE SELECTED FROM A LIST PROVIDED BY MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM, SHOWING THE SCHOOLS WITH GREATER PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS RECEIVING FREE LUNCH. THE DISTRIBUTION REACHES 5,000 PLUS STUDENTS, TAKES PLACE IN THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL, AND PROVIDES BOOK BAGS, PENCILS, NOTEBOOKS, WRITING TABLETS, SAFETY SCISSORS, GLUE STICKS, CRAYONS, RULERS, COMPOSITION BOOKS, FILLER PAPER, AND PORTFOLIOS.
