R.E.A.D. (RENEWING EDUCATION, ACTIVATING DEVELOPMENT) IS A LITERACY PROGRAM THAT FOCUSES ON ENCOURAGING READING AND LITERACY OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH MULTIPLE AVENUES. - 2,941 PALS (PROVIDING AID, LENDING SUPPORT) WAS ADOPTED IN 2008 TO ESTABLISH AN ONGOING RELATIONSHIP WITH A FAMILY OR FAMILIES WHO NEED SUPPORT TO HELP BREAK THE CYCLE OF DEPENDENCY. - 541 S.T.A.R.S. (STUDYING TOGETHER AND REVEALING SMILES) IS A BIBLICAL MENTORING PROGRAM THAT AIMS TO ENHANCE THE SELF-ESTEEM OF 5TH GRADE GIRLS AND ENCOURAGE THE APPLICATION OF CHRISTIAN IDEALS TO THEIR EVERYDAY LIFE. - 226 CROWN CLUB IS A SERVICE ORGANIZATION FOR 10TH AND 11TH GRADE GIRLS FROM LEFLORE COUNTY. - (4,454) PEDIATRIC CONNECTION PARTNERS WITH THE GREENWOOD LEFLORE HOSPITAL TO HOST THE ANNUAL CHILD SAFETY FAIR HELD EACH FALL, PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL AND FUN ACTIVITIES FOR ALL ON THE HOSPITAL LAWN. - 453 CARE AIMS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF AREA ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF LEFLORE COUNTY, ARTPLACE MISSISSIPPI AND SPECIAL BLESSINGS OF THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA. - 758 FEED THE DELTA SERVES THE FOOD CORPS AND THE COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY THROUGH MINI SERVICE PROJECTS. FURTHER ASSISTING THE COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY, MEMBERS VOLUNTEER TWICE A MONTH, HELPING STUFF BOXES OF CANNED FOODS FOR DISTRIBUTION OF THEIR MONTHLY FOOD SUPPLY 2,090 PROVISIONAL PROJECT - THE PROVISIONAL MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION SELECT A PROVISIONAL PROJECT FROM YEAR TO YEAR. THE PROVISIONAL PROJECT FOR THIS YEAR WAS PROVIDING SENSORY TOYS FOR SPECIAL NEEDS CLASSROOMS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. - 1,372


COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED EACH YEAR BY A PANEL OF NON-JUNIOR AUXILIARY JUDGES TO AREA HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS BASED ON NEED, ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE, COMMUNITY AND CIVIC INVOLVEMENT AND AN INTERVIEW.


CLOTHING CORNER PURCHASES UNIFORMS AND OTHER ESSENTIALS FOR CHILDREN WHO ARE RECOMMENDED BY SCHOOL COUNSELORS EACH YEAR. THE PROJECT AIMS TO ENSURE THAT EACH CHILD IN LEFLORE COUNTY IS PREPARED TO ENTER SCHOOL EACH DAY COMFORTABLY, CLEANLY, AND EQUIPPED TO LEARN.
