IN THE CURRENT YEAR, THE MISSISSIPPI PROPANE GAS ASSOCIATION SERVED APPROXIMATELY 80 ACTIVE AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS ACROSS MISSISSIPPI. THE ASSOCIATION KEEPS THE PROPANE DEALERS ABREAST OF STATE AND FEDERAL COMPLIANCE AND REGULATORY ISSUES WHICH AFFECT THE INDUSTRY. EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS WERE SENT TO MEMBERS EACH MONTH TO ENABLE MEMBERS TO PRESENT SAFETY INFORMATION AND REMINDERS TO THEIR EMPLOYEES. EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS ARE CONDUCTED TO ASSURE PROPANE DELIVERY AND SERVICE/MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL ARE UP TO DATE ON LAWS AND REGULATIONS THAT AFFECT THEIR DAILY DUTIES. ON A REGULAR BASIS, THE ASSOCIATION SENDS LEGISLATIVE BULLETINS TO ALL PROPANE DEALERS IN THE STATE TO KEEP THEM ADVISED OF CHANGES AND THE DATE NEW LAWS GO INTO EFFECT. OUR ASSOCIATION PROVIDED ITS MEMBERS GUIDANCE ON PROTOCOLS, GOVERNMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING THE OSHA ETA MANDATE, MEDICAL MARIJUANA IN THE MISSISSIPPI WORKPLACE AND HOUR OF SERVICE WAIVERS FOR CDL HAZ MAT DRIVERS DUE TO THE SHORTAGE OF CDL HAZ MAT DRIVERS.
