STUDENT SUPPORT AND SCHOLARSHIPS: SCHOLARSHIPS ARE GRANTED PER VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES ADMINISTERED BY THE ORGANIZATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH APPLICABLE DEPARTMENTS AND PROGRAMS AT MISSISSIPPI DELTA COMMUNITY COLLEGE. FOR THE 2020-2021 ACADEMIC YEAR, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO QUALIFYING STUDENTS AT MISSISSIPPI DELTA COMMUNITY COLLEGE. IN ADDITION, THE FOUNDATION'S BOOK LOAN PROGRAM ASSISTED STUDENTS BY LOANING BOOKS AND LEARNING MATERIALS TO THOSE WHO MET CERTAIN QUALIFICATIONS. FURTHERMORE, THE MDCC FOUNDATION PROVIDES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO STUDENTS WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE NOT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION BECAUSE OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS OR UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES.
COLLEGE ATHLETICS: FUNDS WERE PROVIDED TO SUPPORT THE VARIOUS ATHLETIC PROGRAMS OF THE COLLEGE IN AN EFFORT TO PROVIDE A FIRST CLASS EXPERIENCE FOR DESERVING STUDENT ATHLETES, BOTH ACADEMICALLY AND ATHLETICALLY. FUNDS WERE ALLOCATED FOR STUDENT AWARDS, SUPPLIES, FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT ACROSS VARIOUS SPORTS WITH A CONCENTRATION IN THE COLLEGE BASEBALL PROGRAM.
COLLEGE PROMOTIONS: FUNDS WERE PROVIDED TO SUPPORT THE RECRUITING PROGRAMS OF THE COLLEGE IN AN EFFORT TO INCREASE THE STUDENT BODY BY FUNDING EVENTS THAT SHOWCASE THE MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR ENHANCING CAREERS AVAILABLE AT THE COLLEGE.
ALUMNI SUPPORT: MOST ALUMNI ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS INCLUDING MEETINGS AND REUNIONS WERE SUSPENDED DURING THE YEAR DUE TO COVID-19. FUNDS WERE PROVIDED FOR CONTINUED ALUMNI SUPPORT AND CONNECTIONS THROUGH MEANS OTHER THAN FACE TO FACE EVENTS.INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT: FUNDS WERE PROVIDED TO ENRICH AND SUPPORT THE COLLEGE'S INSTRUCTIONAL EFFORTS. INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT EXPENSES INCLUDED SUPPORT FOR THE AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION PROGRAM.
