HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MISSISSIPPI VOLUNTEER LAWYERS PROJECT (MVLP) DURING 2022:1. MVLP HOSTED 26 CLINICS ACROSS THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, ASSISTING MORE THAN 500 PRO SE LITIGANTS WITH LEGAL MATTERS.2. MVLP DOUBLED THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS ASSISTED THROUGH CLINICS, THE HIGHEST NUMBER SINCE 2013.3. MVLP DOUBLED THE NUMBER OF CASES REFERRED TO ITS PROGRAM FOR FULL REPRESENTION.4. MVLP CELEBRATED 40 YEARS OF EXISTENCE IN THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI AND COMMEMORATED THE MILESTONE WITH RECOGNIZING INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE SHAPED MVLP OVER THE PAST FOUR DECADES.5. MVLP RECEIVED ADDITIONAL GRANT FUNDING TO EXPAND THE SCOPE OF EXPUNGEMENT WORK IN THE MISSISSIPPI DELTA.
