MERCY MEDICAL CORPORATION HAS BEEN SERVING THE RESIDENTS OF SOUTHWEST ALABAMA SINCE 1949. MERCY MEDICAL'S LIFECARE PROGRAM IS A PREPAYMENT OF FUTURE LONG-TERM CARE COSTS. BENEFITS OF LIFECARE INCLUDE MANAGEMENT OF THE TRANSITION OF CARE AND NO INCREASE IN MONTHLY FEES, REGARDLESS OF THE LEVEL OF CARE. LIFECARE RESIDENTS ENTER AT THE INDEPENDENT LIVING STAGE AND AS THEY AGE AND AS THEIR NEEDS INCREASE, THEIR MONTHLY FEES DO NOT.OVER THE PAST SEVERAL YEARS MERCY MEDICAL HAS BEEN WINDING DOWN. MERCY MEDICAL CONTRACTS WITH MERCY LIFE OF ALABAMA, A RELATED TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATION, TO PROVIDE THE LIFECARE SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS.
