THE CADUCEUS CLUB ESTABLISHED THE STUDENT TRAVEL FELLOWSHIP TO PROVIDE UNIQUE STUDY OPPORTUNITIES FOR SELECTED MEDICAL STUDENTS. QUALIFIED MEDICAL STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY FOR THESE FELLOWSHIPS WHICH PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION COSTS FOR PURSUING THE APPROVED TRAINING PROGRAM. THE CADUCEUS CLUB, RECOGNIZING THAT TRAINING PROGRAMS AT OTHER INSTITUTIONS IN THIS COUNTRY AND ABROAD CAN CONTRIBUTE SIGNIFICANTLY TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES IN ALABAMA, WISHED TO AID AND ENCOURAGE THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE STUDENTS TO SEEK SUCH EXPERIENCES. THESE EXPERIENCES ARE EXPECTED TO BROADEN THE STUDENT'S PERSPECTIVES AS PHYSICIANS.
