OPERATE AS CENTRAL CLEARING HOUSE FOR COLLECTING, SORTING, STORING, AND DISTRIBUTING FOOD TO QUALIFIED ORGANIZATIONS WHICH SERVE THE NEEDY THROUGH THEIR PROGRAMS.

IN 2021, THE COMMUNITY FOOD BANK OF CENTRAL ALABAMA DISTRIBUTED OVER 16,000,000 MEALS TO NEIGHBORS WHO EXPERIENCED FOOD SHORTAGE IN 12 COUNTIES OF CENTRAL ALABAMA. THE COMMUNITY FOOD BANK AND OUR NETWORK OF PARTNERS DISTRIBUTED 11,795,736 MEALS DURING THE YEAR. OUR PROGRAMS TEAM DISTRIBUTED 3.3 MILLION MEALS THROUGH OUR MOBILE PANTRY PROGRAM, 375,540 MEALS THROUGH OUR FAMILY MARKETS, 73,682 MEALS THROUGH OUR KIDS CAFE, 98,000 MEALS THROUGH DISASTER RELIEF, 347,930 MEALS THROUGH OUR SENIOR GROCERY PROGRAM, AND 20,000 HOLIDAY BOXES. OUR RETAIL RECLAMATION PROGRAM PREVENTED 8.4 MILLION POUNDS OF WHOLESOME FOODS FROM NEEDLESSLY GOING TO WASTE IN LOCAL LANDFILLS. OVER 8,300 VOLUNTEERS SERVED ALONGSIDE OUR STAFF TO SUPPORT OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED.
