PI KAPPA ALPHA FOUNDATION IS A 501(C)(3) NOT-FOR-PROFIT FORMED AS A PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION. IT WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1948 TO COLLECT, MANAGE AND PRESERVE HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS FOR PI KAPPA ALPHA CHAPTERS AND HAS EXPANDED TO INCLUDE PUBLIC RECORD KEEPING OF A GOLD STAR MEMORIAL, OWNERSHIP OF A MEMORIAL MUSEUM AND LIBRARY IN MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE, AND TO AID, PROMOTE AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE EDUCATIONAL AND SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENTS OF PI KAPPA ALPHA MEMBERS AND OTHER STUDENTS ACROSS NORTH AMERICA. THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES FUNDS FOR A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS AND SERVICES WHICH ASSIST COLLEGE STUDENTS IN MEETING THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS AND PROGRAM ASSISTANCE. THE FOUNDATION SERVES AS THE PRIMARY CHARITABLE ARM OF THE PI KAPPA ALPHA FRATERNITY.

MAINTENANCE OF WAR MEMORIAL HEADQUARTERS:TO MAINTAIN A PERMANENT MEMORIAL FOR MEMBERS OF THE PI KAPPA ALPHA FRATERNITY WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN MILITARY SERVICE. TO PRESERVE BOOKS, DOCUMENTS, WAR RECORDS AND WORKS OF ART FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF PATRIOTIC AND HISTORICAL RESEARCH, PARTICULARLY AS TO THE HISTORY OF EDUCATION AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.
GRANTS/SCHOLARSHIPS/AWARDSTHE PI KAPPA ALPHA FOUNDATION HELPED PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP BY PROVIDING 95 INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ACADEMIC AND/OR LEADERSHIP ACCOMPLISHMENT, AND 130 GRANTS IN SUPPORT OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS. IN ADDITION SCHOLARSHIPS WERE PROVIDED TO STUDENTS ADMITTED INTO OMICRON DELTA KAPPA, ORDER OF OMEGA, TAU BETA PI, PHI KAPPA PHI AND PHI BETA KAPPA HONOR SOCIETIES. ASSISTING IN ESTABLISHING, EQUIPPING AND MAINTAINING LIBRARIES, STUDY ROOMS OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES OWNED AND MAINTAINED BY FRATERNITY CHAPTERS.
PUBLICATIONS & PROGRAMMING THE PI KAPPA ALPHA FOUNDATION HELPS TO FUND SEVERAL EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATIONS ON AN ANNUAL BASIS: SHIELD & DIAMOND MAGAZINE WHICH IS DISTRIBUTED FOUR TIMES PER YEAR TO MORE THAN 20,000 PEOPLE FOR INFORMATIONAL AND INSTRUCTIONAL PURPOSES; PIKE UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP TRAINING HANDBOOKS AND A DIGITAL HISTORICAL REFERENCE GUIDE MADE AVAILABLE ONLINE.
