DEVELOPING LEADERS - 10/40 CONNECTIONS PROVIDES RELEVANT AND PRACTICAL THEOLOGICAL INSTRUCTION WHICH INPACTS THE WHOLE PERSON AND THE WHOLE COMMUNITY. OUR UMMEED PROJECT DEVELOPED 1,570 LEADERS THROUGH 36 SEMINARS IN MULTIPLE STATES OF INDIA. IN ANOTHER NATION, WITH 9 TEACHERS AND 23 CLASSES,OUR ADULT LITERACY PROGRAMS HELPED 180+ PEOPLE LEARN TO READ AND WRITE. WE HOSTED 2 CONFERENCES IN 2 NATIONS WITH OVER 200 LEADERS.OUR TEACHING CURRICULUM WAS TRANSLATED INTO 4 LANGUAGES AND IS NOW SPREADING THROUGH NETWORKS. EDUCATION-CHILDREN 10/40 CONNECTIONS UNDERSTANDS THE VALUE OF EDUCATION TO INSPIRE HOPE AND BRING TANGIBLE LIFE CHANGE, ESPECIALLY TO CHILDREN. WE BROUGHT EDUCATION IN SOUTH ASIA THROUGH A SCHOOL OF 250 CHILDREN IN A REMOTE VILLAGE AREA. WE BEGAN RUNNING A SCHOOL WITH 150 STUDENTS IN A TRIBAL AREA OF SOUTH ASIA. WE CONTINUED RUNNING 4 DAILY SCHOOLS FOR 140+ CHILDREN IN VILLAGES THAT PREVIOUSLY HAD ZERO ACCESS TO EDUCATION. WE FUNDED EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES, INCLUDING NURSING SCHOOLS, FOR 17 GIRLS RESCUED FROM ABUSIVE SITUALTIONS.
LIFE ADVOCACY - 10/40 CONNECTIONS WORKS TO PROVIDE WHOLE-LIFE CHANGE, HOPE, AND PROTECTION TO AT-RISK PEOPLE, PARTICULARLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN, THROUGH EXPENDING THEIR ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER AND HEALTH EDUCATION. WE INSTALLED FIVE HYGIENE SYSTEMS IN VILLAGES, HELPING OVER 1,500 PEOPLE WITH SAFETY AND CLEAN WATER. WE PROVIDED FOOD AND DAILY ASSISTANCE FOR 1,000+ VILLAGERS IN A FLOOD RELIEF SITUATION IN SOUTH ASIA. OVER 2,200 FAMILIES PARTICIPATED IN OUR VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS SEMINARS, WHICH SPEAK UP FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE CHILDREN - THE PRE-BORN. WE HOSTED 5 CATARACT CLINCIS WHICH GAVE SIGNT TO 211 PEOPLE AND TREATED 446 PATIENTS.
