PROVIDE FIRE PROTECTION FOR 2967 RESIDENTS & BUSINESSES TOTAL CALLS THIS YEAR WERE 138 UP FROM 110 THIS YEAR MUTUAL AID CALLSINCLUDED WE ALSO LOST A FIREFIGHTER IN A LODD ( LINE OF DUTY DEATH) WHICH INCLUDED LOSS OF FIRETRUCK AND EQUIPMENT ON BOARD . THANKFULLY INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENTS ALLOWED US TO REPLACE THE TRUCK AND MOST EQUIPMENT. COULD NOT REPLACE A FIREFIGHTER
WE DO MUTUAL AID WITH 7 OTHER COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPTS SERVING ALL OF CLAIBORNE COUNTY POPULATION 32,600 FIRE FIGHTING, RESCUE AND HAZEMAT AND HOMELAND SECURITY WE HAD 25 MUTUAL AID CALLS FOR 2023 UP FROM 17 IN 2022
