THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THIS CORPORATION WAS FORMED IS: (1) TO OPERATE A PRIVATE MEMBER CLUB (2) TO COOPERATE AND ASSIST THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS LAS CRUCES COUNCIL NO. 1226, INCLUDING PROMOTION OF ITS FRATERNAL, CHARITABLE, CIVIC, AND SOCIAL PURSUITS; AND (3) TO CONDUCT ANY OTHER BUSINESS WHICH IS APPROPRIATE FOR NEW MEXICO NONPROFIT CORPORATIONS AND FOR WHICH WOULD BE TAX-EXEMPT UNDER THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO.

THE CORPORATION WAS GRANTED EXEMPT STATUS FROM THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE IN SEPTEMBER 2019. NO PROGRAM SERVICES WERE ESTABLISHED IN 2020 AND 2021 BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND THE SALE OF THE BUILDING FACILITIES.THE MEMBERS OF THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL #1226, WHO ARE IN GOOD STANDING ARE MEMBERS OF THE COLUMBUS CLUB CORPORATION. MEMBERSHIP DUES TO THE COLUMBUS CLUB WERE WAIVED IN 2020 AND 2021 BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AND LACK OF RECREATIONAL AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES.
