THE GREATER FAYETTEVILLE APARTMENT ASSOCIATION STRIVES TO SERVE ITS MEMBERS BY ENRICHING MULTIFAMILY HOUSING EXPERTISE THROUGH EDUCATION AND PROVIDING SUPPORT USING LEADERSHIP AND RESOURCES, WHILST MAINTAINING OUR COMMITMENT TO THE PROGRESSION OF GREATER FAYETTEVILLE AND ITS NEIGHBORING COMMUNITIES.

EDUCATIONTHE ASSOCIATION HOSTED MONTHLY EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, AND/OR WEBINARS FOR ALL MEMBERS. SPEAKERS AND CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS WERE BROUGHT IN TO TEACH LEGAL SEMINARS TO TEACH THE NAA LEASE AND ALL ADDENDA, FAIR HOUSING, DEBT COLLECTION, PROPERTY MANAGEMENT FINANCIALS, NEW LEASING TECHNIQUES FOR THE PANDEMIC, SUPPLIER MARKETING TRAINING FOR THE PANDEMIC, AND MAINTENANCE CERTIFICATIONS (CERTIFIED POOL OPERATOR -2 SEPARATE CLASSES- AND EPA/CFC 2 SEPARATE CLASSES). MEMBERS THAT HAVE DESIGNATIONS GIVEN BY THE NATIONAL APARTMENT ASSOCIATION RECEIVED CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS FOR EACH SEMINAR/WEBINAR ATTENDED. THE ASSOCIATION HELD THE FOLLOWING NATIONAL APARTMENT ASSOCIATION EDUCATION INSTITUTE DESIGNATION COURSES: CALP CERTIFIED APARTMENT LEASING PROFESSIONAL, HELD IN PERSON IN AUGUST 2021, HAD 7 STUDENTS. THE ASSOCIATION STARTED A NEW COMMITTEE: DIVERSITY & INCLUSION TO LEARN PROPER TERMINOLOGY AND TREATMENT OF OTHERS PERTAINING TO OUR INDUSTRY. ALSO, NAA WEBINARS IN THIS SUBJECT MATTER WERE SHARED WITH THE MEMBERSHIP FOR FURTHER TRAINING AND AWARENESS.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH MAINTAINED/RENEWED MEMBERSHIPS WITH CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE IN ALL AREAS OF OUR TERRITORIES. ATTENDED IN PERSON AND VIRTUAL MEETINGS AND EVENTS TO CONTINUE MARKETING EFFORTS. BECAME MEMBER OF THE CHAMBER IN HOPE MILLS. MAINTAINED/RENEWED MEMBERSHIP WITH THE LONGLEAF PINE REALTORS ASSOCIATION. ATTENDED THEIR ONLINE EVENTS TO CONTINUE MARKETING EFFORTS, EDUCATION AND NETWORKING. MAINTAINED SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLETS ON FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM AND LINKED IN TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH THE MEMBERS WHEN WE WERE NOT PERMITTED TO SEE THEM IN PERSON. ADDED CONSTANT CONTACT AS ANOTHER WAY TO DISTRIBUTE MASS EMAILS, CLASS AND EVENT FLYERS AND MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS TO OUR MEMBERSHIP.
ADVOCACY ATTENDED THE ONLINE AANC PAC RAFFLE AND DONATED A PRIZE FOR THEM TO RAFFLE OFF TO RAISE MONEY. ALL MEMBERS OF BOARD MADE PERSONAL DONATIONS TO THE AANC PAC IN JANUARY 2021. ATTENDED AANC EDUCATION AND LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE VIRTUALLY IN MAY 2021. ATTENDED LOBBYING IN PERSON IN RALEIGH, NC IN JUNE 2021.
