PROVIDE ROWING INSTRUCTION AND COMPETITION FOR MANATEE COUNTY MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM FOCUSES ON DEVELOPING AN INDIVIDUAL THROUGH TEAMWORK, STRONG CHARACTER, PERSONAL INTEGRITY, FITNESS, AND GOOD NUTRITIONAL HABITS. WE ENCOURAGE ALL MEMBERS TO ACTIVELY VOLUNTEER AND BE INVOLVED IN THEIR COMMUNITY. WE PROVIDE AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE ROWERS OF ALL AGES CAN WORK TOGETHER IN A CONSTRUCTIVE TEAM ENVIRONMENT, FOSTERING PERSONAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS OF SIGNIFICANT VALUE.
THE MASTERS PROGRAM PROVIDES RECREATIONAL AND COMPETITIVE ROWING PROGRAMS FOR AGES 18 AND UP. FITNESS MEMBERSHIPS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC ONSITE AT BOATHOUSE ROW AND FITNESS. THE FACILITY OFFERS POWER ROW CLASSES, AS WELL AS BOATHOUSE GRIT, BOTH DESIGNED FOR ALL LEVELS OF FITNESS.
MCYR OFFERS FULL AND HALF DAY SUMMER CAMPS FOR STUDENTS GRADES 6-12 FOR KAYAKING, PADDLE BOARDING, AND ROWING.
