COVERING KIDS & FAMILIES PROMOTES AND FACILITATES HEALTHCARE COVERAGE THROUGH PROVIDING FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO LEAD AGENCIES ACROSS INDIANA. OUR SUPPORT ALLOWS THOSE LEAD AGENCIES TO PROVIDE COMMUNITY OUTREACH, EDUCATION AND ENROLLMENT FOR MEDICAID, CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM (CHIP), THE HEALTHY INDIANA PLAN (HIP) AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT MARKETPLACE PLANS. ONE MECHANISM OF SUPPORT IS TO PROVIDE DIRECT REIMBURSEMENT TO THE LEAD AGENCY BY WAY OF A CONTRACT WITH HEALTH AND HOSPITAL CORPORATION OF MARION COUNTY.
COVERING KIDS & FAMILIES OF INDIANA PROVIDES SUPPORT TO LEAD AGENCIES FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH, EDUCATION AND ENROLLMENT IN MEDICAID, CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN (CHIP), THE HEALTHY INDIANA PLAN (HIP) AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT MARKETPLACE PLANS. THE SUPPORT SERVICES OF THE ORGANIZATION INCLUDE POLICY AND ADMINISTRATIVE GUIDANCE FOR THE LEAD AGENCIES. COVERING KIDS & FAMILIES OF INDIANA ADVOCATES AT THE STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL, WHICH INVOLVES COMMUNICATION TO THAT END WITH STATE AGENCIES, LEGISLATORS, AND OTHER PUBLIC OFFICIALS.
IN ADDITION TO IDOI CERTIFIED NAVIGATORS, COVERING KIDS & FAMILIES PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND SUPPORT SERVICES BY SPONSORING THE INDIANA SCHOOL HEALTH NETWORK (ISHN). A CONFERENCE FOR SCHOOL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND ALL STAKEHOLDERS INTERESTED IN CHILDREN'S ISSUES IS HELD ANNUALLY. 2021 ATTENDANCE WAS OVER 1,000 PROFESSIONALS FROM INDIANA. CKF-IN ALSO SPONSORS AND PARTICIPATES IN WORKSHOPS, TASK FORCES AND POLICY ANALYSIS THROUGH OUT THE YEAR.
