RECONCILIATION - IN 2021, 35 OF US ADOPTED A STATEMENT OF PERSONAL DEVOTION TO LIVE OUT JOHN 17 FOR A YEAR.THIS STATEMENT INCLUDES RENUNCIATION OF ANTI-SEMITISM, ANTI-CATHOLICISM, AND ANTI-PROTESTANTISM.IT ALSO INCLUDES COMMITMENTS TO ACTIONS OF PRAYER AND RECONCILIATION.IT WILL BE RENEWED ANNUALLY.WE CONTRIBUTED TO AN IMPORTANT BOOK ON RECONCILIATION, TO BE PUBLISHED IN 2022 BY PAUL HOFFMAN AND MATTHEW KIM.WE SUPPORTED AMY & THOMAS COGDELL AS THEY WORKED TOWARDS THE 2022 PUBLICATION OF THEIR BOOK UNITY THROUGH REPENTANCE: THE JOURNEY TO WITTENBERG 2017.WE VISITED THE ALLELUIA COMMUNITY IN AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, TO LEARN FROM THEIR MODEL OF INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY COMPOSED OF CATHOLICS, PROTESTANTS, AND ORTHODOX.
HOSPITALITY - IN 2021 WE WERE STILL COMING OUT OF THE COVID PANDEMIC AND JUST OPENING UP OUR MINISTRY CENTER TO GATHERINGS AND VISITORS. EVEN SO, WE HOSTED OVER 45 DIFFERENT VISITORS FROM TEXAS, THE US AND OVERSEAS.IN ADDITION, WE PUT ON APPROXIMATELY 3 OPEN TABLES, WHICH ARE FRIDAY NIGHT MEETINGS WITH SPECIAL GUESTS, OPEN TO ANY VISITORS.
SPIRITUAL FORMATION - IN 2021, WE HAD 5 RETREATS DEDICATED TO SPIRITUAL FORMATION.TEACHERS INCLUDED CATHOLICS, PROTESTANTS, AND MESSIANIC JEWS. THESE RETREATS COMPOSED THE FIRST FIVE TEACHINGS OF A SERIES CALLED FOUNDATIONS OF COMMUNITY.ATTENDANCE AT EACH RETREAT RANGED FROM 20 TO 40 PARTICIPANTS.WE ALSO ENGAGED IN TWO VIRTUAL GATHERINGS BY ANTIOCH NETWORK.
