THE ORGANIZATION IS A CHRIST-CENTERED MINISTRY THAT MEETS THE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS OF HURTING PEOPLE IN THE GREATER LEXINGTON AREA. ITS ACTIVITIES ARE FOCUSED ON REBUILDING LIVES.

OUTREACH SERVICES - IN 2021, WE SERVED 46,543 MEALS TO HUNGRY MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN. WE ALSO HAD 1,346 PEOPLE WHO CAME TO OUR WALK-IN HOURS FOR ASSISTANCE MEETING THEIR BASIC NEEDS, INCLUDING 837 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED CLOTHING, 694 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED HYGIENE PRODUCTS, 141 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED CLEANING SUPPLIES, 479 PEOPLE RECEIVED EMERGENCY FOOD BOXES, 227 PEOPLE WHO RECEIVED TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE, 30 PEOPLE WHO OBTAINED BIRTH CERTIFICATES AND/OR IDS, 147 PEOPLE WHO WERE CONNECTED TO HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND 42 PEOPLE WERE CONNECTED TO OUR EMPLOYMENT SERVICES. OUR STREET OUTREACH TEAM PROVIDED MOBILE CASE MANAGEMENT TO 210 PEOPLE LIVING ON THE STREETS, GETTING 45 PEOPLE INTO EMERGENCY SHELTER AND 39 PEOPLE INTO SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT PROGRAMS. THROUGH OUR HOMELESS INTERVENTION AND RAPID REHOUSING PROGRAMS, WE MOVED 64 HOMELESS HOUSEHOLDS, INCLUDING 70 ADULTS AND 15 CHILDREN, INTO PERMANENT HOUSING AND PREVENTED 35 EVICTIONS OR UTILITY SHUT-OFFS. FURTHERMORE, 111 PEOPLE ATTENDED OUR CHAPEL SERVICES, 120 PEOPLE ATTENDED STEADY HANDS, OUR WEEKLY DISCIPLESHIP GROUP, AND 31 PEOPLE RECEIVED PASTORAL COUNSELING.
RESTORATIVE SERVICES - MEN AND WOMEN WHO WERE TRYING TO GET BACK ON THEIR FEET AFTER HOMELESSNESS, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, INCARCERATION, OR JUST FALLING ON HARD TIMES HAD WARM BEDS AND A SAFE PLACE TO CALL HOME IN OUR TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM. IN 2021, WE PROVIDED TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND DISCIPLESHIP TO 133 MEN AND 22 WOMEN.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES - IN 2021, WE ASSISTED 281 UNEMPLOYED MEN AND WOMEN WITH FINDING WORK AND PLACED 97 PEOPLE IN 119 JOBS. THE AVERAGE SALARY WAS $12.08, AND THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK WAS 35-39. THE TOP SECTORS WE PLACED PEOPLE IN WERE SKILLED TRADES, MANUFACTURING, AND HOSPITALITY. WE ALSO TAUGHT 206 PEOPLE EMPLOYMENT SKILLS, AND 39 GRADUATED FROM JOBS FOR LIFE. IN 2021, WE ALSO LAUNCHED OUR LAWN CARE AND LANDSCAPING BUSINESS TO EMPLOY HARD-TO-PLACE CLIENTS, AND WE HAD 34 RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS AND FOUR COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS FOR OUR NEW SOCIAL ENTERPRISE.
