TO PROMOTE THE CENTRAL KENTUCKY AREA AS A DESTINATION FOR STATE, REGIONAL, NATIONAL, AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION ON ALL PERFORMANCE LEVELS AND ACTIVELY SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH SPORTS PROGRAMS AND EVENTS WITH THE BLUEGRASS STATE GAMES BEING THE SIGNATURE EVENT.

THE ANNUAL BLUEGRASS STATE GAMES PROVIDE KENTUCKIANS AN AVENUE FOR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH SPORTS AND FOR REWARDS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT IN ATHLETIC EVENTS THROUGHOUT KENTUCKY. APPROXIMATELY 6,300 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN 5 SPORTS IN THE 2021 GAMES.


PROMOTE AND ADMINISTER VARIOUS SPORTING EVENTS IN CENTRAL KENTUCKY SUCH AS A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S RUN AND THE BREEDER'S CUP.
