LOUISVILLE DOWNTOWN LIONS CHARITIES, INC. PROVIDES GRANTS AND AWARDS TO OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS THAT PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED AS WELL AS THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2024, THE ORGANIZATION MADE GRANTS TO 26 OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS, ALL OF WHOM ARE EXEMPT UNDER IRC SECTION 501(C)(3).


THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES LARGE PRINT CALENDARS FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED INDIVIDUALS AND PROVIDES SUPPLIES FOR EYE SCREENING CHILDREN AGES 1 TO 5. 1,200 CALENDARS WERE DISTRIBUTED AND APPROXIMATELY 1,000 CHILDREN WERE SCREENED.


THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EYEGLASSES FOR INDIGENT INDIVIDUALS. DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2024, 82 SUCH INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED EYEGLASSES.


THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS A HOLIDAY PARTY AND PROVIDES GIFTS FOR APPROXIMATELY 60 KY SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND STUDENTS.
