IN MANY PATIENTS, THE KYPHOPLASTY PROCEDURE DRASTICALLY REDUCES PAIN, WHICH, IN TURN, CAN ELIMINATE OR REDUCE THE NEED TO USE PAIN MEDICATION. PATIENTS FROM ACROSS THE REGION ARE REFERRED TO PMC'S IR DEPARTMENT TO RECEIVE THE MOST ADVANCED TREATMENT AND SPECIALIZED PROCEDURES WITHIN THE RECENTLY RENOVATED SPACE THAT CONTAINS THREE IR SUITES, NINE PRE-OPERATIVE AND POST-OPERATIVE BAYS, TWO OUTPATIENT ROOMS AND A CENTRAL NURSE'S STATION. THE CRYOCONSOLE PURCHASE TOTALED $250,000.THE ENSITE PRECISION CARDIAC MAPPING SYSTEM WAS PURCHASED BY PMC DURING FY 21. THE CARDIAC MAPPING SYSTEM IS UTILIZED IN THE EP CATH LABS TO CREATE NON-FLUOROSCOPIC 3D IMAGES OF THE HEART CHAMBER(S), THESE DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS REPRESENT THE ANATOMY OF THE CARDIAC CHAMBER AND TRACK THE REAL-TIME LOCATION OF ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY CATHETERS WITHIN THE CARDIAC STRUCTURE DURING PROCEDURES, AS WELL AS ASSISTS IN RECORDING THE LOCATION OF ABLATION LESIONS AS APPLIED BY AN ABLATION GENERATOR. THE ENSITE PRECISION CARDIAC MAPPING SYSTEM INVESTMENT TOTALED $527,925.THE PMC HEART & VASCULAR INSTITUTE TEAM WORKS CONTINUOUSLY TO BRING THE MOST ADVANCED TREATMENT OPTIONS TO THE REGION. MANY OF THE NEWEST TECHNIQUES IN CARDIAC SURGERIES RESULT IN SMALLER INCISIONS, LESS BLOOD LOSS, LESS PAIN, SHORTER HOSPITAL STAYS, QUICKER RECOVERIES AND SMALLER, LESS NOTICEABLE SCARS.
