INSTRUCTIONAL - INCLUDES ALL ACTIVITIES THAT ARE PART OF THE INSTITUTION'S PRIMARY MISSION.SINCE ITS FOUNDING IN 1889, ALMOST 15,000 UPIKE ALUMNI HAVE GONE ON TO BECOME LEADERS IN BUSINESS, MEDICINE, EDUCATION, LAW, NURSING AND MANY OTHER FIELDS. THE UNIVERSITY OF PIKEVILLE REMAINS STEADFAST IN ITS COMMITMENT TO PREPARING STUDENTS FOR THE FUTURE WHILE CREATING INTELLECTUAL, CULTURAL AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR APPALACHIA. UPIKE CREATES A PATHWAY TO HIGHER EDUCATION FOR ALL STUDENTS WHO DESIRE TO EMBARK UPON THAT JOURNEY BY ATTRACTING AND RETAINING HIGH CALIBER STUDENTS WHO WILL BE FUTURE REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND GLOBAL LEADERS.
