Part 3 - Line 4a
RESCHOOL COLORADO:AN INITATIVE WHERE LEARNING IS REIMAGINED AND STUDENTS GRADUATE ENERGIED AND EQUIPPED TO THRIVE IN A RAPIDLY CHANGING WORLD. IT INTENDS TO IMPROVE THE EXPERIENCE OF EDUCATION IN ORDER TO BETTER MATCH AND KEEP PACE WITH THE NEEDS AND EXCEPTIONS OF STUDENTS LIVING IN THE 21ST CENTURY.
OUT OF SCHOOL LEARNINGYOUNG PEOPLE SPEND AT LEAST 75% OF THEIR WAKING HOURS OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL. OUT OF SCHOOL LEARNING IS NOT A NICE TO HAVE, IT'S A NEED TO HAVE. DK BELIEVES LEARNING HAPPENS EVERYWHERE AND MUCH OF WHAT STUDENTS LEARN COMES FROM OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM. THESE OUT OF SCHOOL LEARNING EXPERIENCES PROVIDE GREATER SELFESTEEM, MORE PSYCHOLOGICAL RESILIENCE, MORE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, HIGHER GRADE POINT AVERAGE, HIGHER FUTURE WAGES AND OCCUPATIONAL ATTAINMENT AND STRONGER SOCIAL NETWORKS. UNFORTUNATELY, ACCESS TO OUT OF SCHOOL LEARNING IS NOT EQUITABLE AND DK IS WORKING TO MAKE OUT OF SCHOOL LEARNING EXPERIENCES ATTAINABLE FOR ALL STUDENTS IN COLORADO.
