EFFECTIVELY THE FUNDS INVESTED BY THE BETTERTOGETHER CHALLENGE CONTRIBUTED SUBSTANTIALLY TO EXPAND THE SCALABRINIAN MODEL ON EMPLOYMENT, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SOCIAL INNOVATION IN BRAZIL. THE PROJECT WAS FUNDAMENTAL TO BE ABLE TO APPLY THE 4 INITIAL STAGES OF THE PROJECT, CONSIDERING THE INVESTMENT IN SEED CAPITAL AS THE MOST CONCRETE RESPONSE TO HELP THE MIGRANTS IN THEIR PROCESS OF ADAPTATION AND INTEGRATION INTO THE ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL SYSTEM OF THE HOST BRAZILIAN SOCIETY. THE PROPOSED RESULT WAS ACHIEVED SINCE WE WERE ABLE TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE LIVES OF MORE THAN 38,016 DIRECTLY SERVED. EACH SERVICE ACCOUNTED FOR MEANS EFFORTS, RESOURCES, TIME, DEDICATION AND DIRECT IN-PERSON SUPPORT IN ORDER TO COMPREHENSIVELY IMPACT THE NEEDS OF EVERYONE. THE STAGES OF THE MODEL IMPLEMENTED HAVE PROVIDED A COMPREHENSIVE RESPONSE THAT SEEKS TO PROVIDE SOLUTIONS TO THE MAIN NEEDS OF THE MIGRANT IN MANY DIMENSIONS, FROM ACCESS TO A SAFE SHELTER, TO FOOD, ACCESS TO MEDICINE, MEDICAL CARE, MENTAL HEALTH, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION, IMMIGRATION REGULARIZATION, DOCUMENTATION, AND ACCESS TO MEANS OF LIVELIHOOD THROUGH THE SEED CAPITAL INVESTED. THE MONITORING AND EVALUATION PROCESS ALLOWED US TO IDENTIFY EMBLEMATIC AND EXEMPLARY MIGRANT CASES BENEFICIARIES OF THE INTEGRAL ACCOMPANIMENT PROCESS PROVIDED BY THE SCALABRINIAN RESPONSE. THROUGH OUR WORK, WE HAVE SUCCEEDED IN SAFEGUARDING THE LIVES OF THOUSANDS OF VENEZUELAN MIGRANT MEN, WOMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS WHO ARE VULNERABLE AND AT RISK OF FALLING INTO NETWORKS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING, SMUGGLING OF MIGRANTS, DISCRIMINATION, XENOPHOBIA AND NEGLECT, ESPECIALLY WOMEN. THE POSITIVE IMPACT OF THIS PROJECT, ALONG WITH THE NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS IMPACTED, WAS ACHIEVED TO THE EXTENT THAT WE CAN TOUCH THE LIVES OF THE MIGRANTS, ENSURING THEIR WELL-BEING, INTEGRATION, AND PROVIDING LIVELIHOOD OPPORTUNITIES AND CONFIDENCE TO ESTABLISH THEIR LIVES AND FAMILIES IN THE HOST COMMUNITIES. THIS PROJECT CERTAINLY ACHIEVED THIS.
SINCE THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH DATE OF THE CAMPAIGN ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2021,, SIMN HAS PUBLISHED FIVE ADS ON FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM. MORE THAN 7,314 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN REACHED THROUGH THESE ADS.AS A RESULT OF THIS CAMPAIGN ON RADIO STATIONS, NEWSPAPERS, AND SOCIAL MEDIA SIMN HAS RECEIVED $5,355 .00 IN DONATIONS THROUGH ITS OFFICIAL DONATION WEBSITE. THE FUNDS RECEIVED CAN PROVIDE AROUND 5,500 MEALS TO VENEZUELAN CHILDREN IN VALENCIA, VENEZUELA, WHICH IS ESSENTIAL TO ENSURE A HEALTHY AND DIGNIFIED LIFE FOR THESE CHILDREN LEFT BEHIND. THE FUNDS COLLECTED WILL BE IMPLEMENTED BY THE CREATION OF A PROJECT TO BE EXECUTED BY THE OBRA SOCIAL SCALABRINI IN VANLENCIA. THIS CAMPAIGN IS ONGOING.
