SELF-HELP HOUSING: FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 2021, FLORIDA HOME PARTNERSHIP PROVIDED FINANCIAL AND CREDIT COUNSELING, LOAN APPLICATION INTAKE AND LOAN PROCESSING SERVICES TO ASSIST USDA MUTUAL SELF-HELP HOUSING CLIENTS TO OBTAIN MORTGAGE FINANCING AND DOWNPAYMENT ASSISTANCE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE USDA MUTUAL SELF-HELP HOUSING PROGRAM AND ASSISTED 23 FAMILIES TO ACQUIRE BUILDING LOTS AND GUIDE THE FAMILIES THROUGH THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THEIR OWN HOMES THROUGH THE USDA MUTUAL SELF-HELP HOUSING PROGRAM.
DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES UTILIZING FEDERAL HOME FUNDS TO FINANCE CONSTRUCTION COSTS TO OFFER AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES TO LOW AND MODERATE-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS. ASSIST POTENTIAL HOMEBUYERS WITH OBTAINING MORTGAGE FINANCING AND DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY FOR DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE FROM GOVERNMENTAL FUNDING PROGRAMS. FIVE COMPLETED HOMES WERE SOLD TO INCOME-ELIGIBLE HOMEBUYERS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR.
