AS A CHRISTIAN CHILDCARE CENTER, SONSHINE DAY PROVIDES FULL AND PART-TIME CARE TO APPROXIMATELY 160 STUDENTS IN A LOVING AND CARING ENVIRONMENT. IT HAS 14 DIFFERENT CLASSES RANGING FROM INFANTS TO PRE-KINDERGARTEN IN ADDITION TO AFTERSCHOOL AND SUMMER CAMP FOR CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN TO 5TH GRADE. SONSHINE IS ACCREDITED AND OPERATES UNDER THE STANDARDS OF THE ASSOCIATION OF CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS INTERNATIONAL (ACSI), WHICH MEET OR EXCEEDS THE STANDARDS SET FORTH BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. AN ACCREDITED ACSI SCHOOL IS ONE THAT IS RECOGNIZED AS A HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAM MEETING THE CHILDRENS SPIRITUAL, SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, ACADEMIC, AND PHYSICAL NEEDS. SONSHINE DAY HAS 50 PLUS EMPLOYEES WHO PROVIDE QUALITY CARE AND EDUCATION TO THESE YOUNG CHILDREN. A NON-COMPENSATED BOARD OF DIRECTORS RUNS THE SCHOOL.
