ADULT PROGRAMS: FUNDING FOR SPEAKERS, INSTRUCTORS AND MATERIALS TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS THE LIBRARY OFFERS TO SENIOR CITIZENS.
TARPON SPRINGS LIBRARY GRANTS: DIRECT SUPPORT OF LITERACY PROGRAMS OFFERED BY TARPON SPRINGS LIBRARY.
BUSINESS CENTER: PROVIDE SIGHT COURSES, REFERENCE MATERIALS, ONLINE DATA BASES, AND OTHER RELATED MATERIALS USED TO INVEST, DEVELOP, MARKET AND IMPROVE AREA BUSINESSES OFFERED AT THE TARPON SPRINGS PUBLIC LIBRARY. ALSO PROVIDE REFERENCE MATERIALS FOR INVESTORS.
YOUTH PROGRAMS & SCHOLARSHIPS: ACTIVITIES TO BRING CHILDREN INTO THE LIBRARY AND TO PROMOTE LITERACY AND CULTURAL EXPANSION. SOME SPECIFIC EXAMPLES ARE BOOKS FOR DISTRIBUTION AT THE TOWN HOLIDAY PARADE, CRATE ITEMS FOR TEEN EVENTS, FEES FOR THEATRICAL PRESENTATIONS. ALSO, TARPON SPRINGS AREA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS COMPETE FOR SCHOLASTIC RECOGNITION AND SCHOLARSHIPS PRESENTED BY THE TARPON SPRINGS LIBRARY. VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION: THE FRIENDS FUND HALF OF THE COST OF RECOGNITION OF VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE WORKED IN EITHER THE LIBRARY OR FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY EVENTS OR ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. EXPENSES INCLUDE REFRESHMENTS AND SMALL GIFTS.
