ONIC DIRECTLY OPERATES 1052 UNITS OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING, SERVES AS GENERAL PARTNER OF ENTITIES WHICH OWNS AN ADDITIONAL 557 UNITS OF AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING, AND OWNS AND LEASES COMMERCIAL RETAIL SPACE IN AN ECONOMICALLY DISTRESSED AREA OF ORLANDO.
ONIC'S RESIDENT SERVICES PROGRAM (RSP) COORDINATES A RANGE OF ENHANCED SERVICES, ACTIVITIES, AND PROGRAMS FOR OUR RESIDENTS, WITH A FOCUS ON HOUSING STABILITY AND IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE. DURING THE 2021 PROGRAM YEAR, THE WORK PLAN WAS DRIVEN BY THE ONGOING IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC AND EMPHASIZED CONNECTING RESIDENTS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES, INCLUDING RENTAL AND EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, SNAP AND UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS, FOOD DELIVERY AND HEALTH SERVICES (INCLUDING ONSITE VACCINATIONS). IN ADDITION, THE RSP ORGANIZED COMMUNITY BUILDING AND ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES TO COMBAT PANDEMIC-ASSOCIATED ISOLATION. DURING THE YEAR, THE RSP ENGAGED IN 14,800 CONTACTS WITH 2,188 PARTICIPANTS, SUPPORTED BY 487 HOURS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE PROVIDED BY 80 VOLUNTEERS.
