DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE SCHOOL AND SUPERVISION PROGRAM - ENROLLMENT FOR 2023: APPROXIMATELY 1,650. THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES INSTRUCTION FOR FIRST AND MULTIPLE DUI OFFENDERS AND SPECIAL SUPERVISION SERVICES. THE SPECIAL SUPERVISION SERVICES ARE FOR MULTIPLE OFFENDERS SEEKING HARDSHIP DRIVERS LICENSE REINSTATEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFIC STATUTES. THE ORGANIZATION IS THE ONLY DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAY SAFETY AND MOTOR VEHICLES LICENSED "DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE PROGRAM" WITHIN FLORIDA'S FIFTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT.
VICTIM IMPACT PANEL (VIP): THE VIP CLASS IS A 2 HOUR COURT-ORDERED CLASS IF CONVICTED OF DUI. THE CLASS CONSISTS OF 1 OR MORE INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE BEEN IMPACTED IN SOME WAY BY AN IMPAIRED DRIVER. THEY SHARE THEIR STORIES WITH THE CLASS ABOUT HOW A DUI PERSON'S ACTIONS AFFECTED THEIR LIFE.
DRIVER IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM - ENROLLMENT FOR 2023: APPROXIMATELY 365. BASIC DRIVER IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM WHICH IS A FOUR HOUR COURSE USED TO REMOVE POINTS AND SATISFY THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAY MOTOR VEHICLES REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAFFIC COLLISION AVOIDANCE COURSE. DRIVER IMPROVEMENT ALSO INCLUDES: DRUG, ALCOHOL AND TRAFFIC EDUCATION "DATE" (STATE-MANDATED FOUR HOUR COURSE FOR FIRST TIME DRIVERS TO GET THEIR DRIVERS LICENSE); INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED DRIVER IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM "IDI" & "ADI" (THESE EIGHT "IDI AND TWELVE "ADI" HOUR COURSES ARE FOR MULTIPLE OFFENDERS, COURT-ORDER TRAFFIC OFFENDERS AND/OR AGGRESSIVE DRIVERS); AND VICTIM IMPACT PANEL "VIP" (FOR DUI OFFENDERS, OR THOSE WHOSE DUI HAS BEEN AMENDED TO RECKLESS DRIVING, AGGRESSIVE DRIVERS, TEENAGERS, AND FIRST TIME DRIVERS).
IGNITION INTERLOCK DEVICE PROGRAM: PROGRAM ENROLLMENT FOR 2023: APPROXIMATELY 300. SOME DUI OFFENDERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN IGNITION INTERLOCK DEVICE (IID) PLACED ON THEIR VEHICLE IN ORDER TO HAVE THEIR DRIVER LICENSE REINSTATED. VIOLATIONS OF THIS DEVICE MAY RESULT IN THE OFFENDER ATTENDING SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS WITH A LICENSED DUI PROGRAM IN THEIR AREA. THE ORGANIZATION, AS A LICENSED DUI PROGRAM, MEETS WITH OFFENDERS DURING THEIR RESTRICTION PERIOD.
