OUR MISSION IS TO END AND PREVENT HOMELESSNESS IN MIAMI-DADE THROUGH COMMUNITY COLLABORATION. OUR VISION IS THAT EVERYONE IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY HAS A SAFE, STABLE PLACE TO CALL HOME.

MIAMI HOMES FOR ALL HAS TWO PROGRAMMATIC INITIATIVES: AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND YOUTH HOMELESSNESS. IN 2021, MHFA LED THE CREATION OF A NEW AFFORDABLE HOUSING PREDEVELOPMENT LOAN PRODUCT, AND WE HAVE RECRUITED $1.8 MILLION IN PHILANTHROPIC DONATIONS AS SEED CAPITAL FOR IT. ADDITIONALLY, MHFA FORMED THE MIAMI-DADE EVICTION TASK FORCE IN FALL 2020 TO IMPROVE COORDINATION, OUTREACH, AND DELIVERY OF RENTAL ASSISTANCE TO HOUSEHOLDS IN NEED DURING THE PANDEMIC. THIS HELPED THE COUNTY EXPEND ALL OF ITS ALLOCATED FEDERAL DOLLARS FOR RENTAL ASSISTANCE EQUITABLY AND ON-TIME. FINALLY, MHFA PARTNERED WITH THE CITY OF MIAMI MAYOR TO CONDUCT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND INFORM THE REDEVELOPMENT OF A 19-ACRE PARCEL OF PUBLIC LAND AND DRAFT A NEW PUBLIC LAND POLICY FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING. IN OUR YOUTH HOMELESSNESS INITIATIVE, MHFA PROVIDED BACKBONE SUPPORT TO THE HOMY COLLECTIVE - A COLLABORATION OF ABOUT 60 AGENCIES, INCLUDING MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS (M-DCPS), THE CHILDREN'S TRUST, AND THE HOMELESS TRUST SEEKING TO END YOUTH HOMELESSNESS. MHFA FACILITATED AND PROVIDED LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING TO THE YOUTH VOICE ACTION COUNCIL, CONDUCTED THE ANNUAL CENSUS OF YOUTH EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS, AND ARTICULATED A VISION FOR A COORDINATED SYSTEM OF SERVICE AND SHELTER DELIVERY FOR VULNERABLE YOUTH.
