PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC AND LIBRARY PERSONNEL FOR LIBRARY SERVICES IN BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA AT THE MAIN LIBRARY, REGIONAL LIBRARIES, AND BRANCH LIBRARIES.

PROGRAMS FOR LIBRARY PATRONS PROGRAMS FOR THE PRPOSE OF EDUCATION, INFORMATION AND/OR ENTERTAINMENT WERE HELD AT ALL LIBRARY BANCHES. THEY VARIED WIDELY AND WERE TARGETED AT ADULTS AS WELL AS YOUNG ADULTS AND CHILDREN. MANY OF THE CHILDREN WERE CONNECTED AFTER SCHOOL CARE OR SUMMER TIME.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT THESE FUNDS WERE PROVIDED TO ASSIST THE LIBRARY SAFF WITH FURTHERING THEIR EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT AND INCLUDED REGISTRATION AND TRAVEL FOR CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS, AND SEMINARS.
LIBRARY PROMOTION FUNDS WERE SPENT ON HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATED WITH LIBRARY PROGRAMS OR EVENTS AND MARKETING MATERIALS SUCH AS BROCHURES, BOOKMARKS AND NEWSLETTERS.
