THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION IS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES BY PROVIDING SERVICES THAT WILL ADDRESS IDENTIFIED COMMUNITY NEEDS. THE PRIMARY FOCUS IS TO INCREASE ACCESS TO QUALITY, AFFORDABLE, SUSTAINABLE HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME FAMILIES.

HOUSING DEVELOPMENT. THE CORPORATION BUILDS NEW HOMES AND REHABILITATES EXISTING HOMES THAT ARE MADE AVAILABLE FOR SALE TO FIRST-TIME HOME BUYERS.
RENTAL PROGRAM. THE CORPORATION MAINTAINS AN INVENTORY OF SINGLE FAMILY RENTAL PROPERTIES THAT ARE AVAILABLE FOR HOUSEHOLDS WHO ASPIRE TO BECOME HOME PURCHASERS AND PROVIDES THEM WITH ON-GOING COUNSELING SUPPORT THAT IS INTENDED TO ASSIST THEM TO BECOME MORTGAGE READY FOR EVENTUAL HOME OWNERSHIP. THE CORPORATION MANAGES PROPERTIES THAT ARE OWNED SOLELY BY THE CORPORATION. IN ADDITION, THE RENTAL PORTFOLIO CONSISTS OF PROPERTIES PROVIDED THROUGH THE ALACHUA AND CLAY COUNTY NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAMS. HOME OWNERSHIP PROMOTION. THE CORPORATION ACTIVELY PROMOTES HOME OWNERSHIP USING THE FINANCIAL FITNESS PROGRAM AND THE PRE-PURCHASE HOME BUYER EDUCATION SEMINAR. THE FINANCIAL FITNESS PROGRAM IS AN EIGHT HOUR COURSE CONSISTING OF FOUR INSTRUCTIONAL SEGMENTS THAT FOCUS ON 1) BASIC MONEY MATTERS, 2) BUDGETING, 3) CREDIT REPAIR, AND 4) OTHER FINANCIAL TOPICS. THE CLASS IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLDS THAT HAVE A DREAM OF HOME OWNERSHIP BUT HAVE CREDIT OR FINANCIAL OBSTACLES. THE COURSE IS GENERALLY FACILITATED OFF-SITE THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP RELATIONSHIP WITH AFFILIATE SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS AND CHURCH GROUPS.THE PRE-PURCHASE HOME BUYER EDUCATION SEMINAR IS DESIGNED TO EDUCATE PARTICIPANTS ON THE HOME PURCHASE PROCESS.
HOME OWNERSHIP PRESERVATION. THE CORPORATION SUPPORTS PARTICIPANTS IN PRESERVING THEIR MORTGAGE THROUGH TOUGH ECONOMIC TIMES. THE CORPORATION PROVIDES INTENSIVE MORTGAGE DELINQUENCY AND FORECLOSURE INTERVENTION COUNSELING FOR HOME OWNERS IN FINANCIAL DISTRESS.
