PROGRAM EXPENSES ARE USED FOR THE ORGANIZATIONS STATED PURPOSE TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE LITERACY AND CULTURAL ARTS; TO PROVIDE FOR THE EDUCATION, ENJOYMENT, AND APPRECIATION OF DRAMATIC ARTS IN ALL PHASES OF THEATER; TO AID IN MAINTAINING THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE QUALITY OF LIVE THEATER; AND TO PROMOTE AND FACILITATE EDUCATION IN ALL PHASES OF THE THEATER. THE ORGANIZATION ENCOURAGES LOCAL DRAMA STUDENTS IN AWARDING A SCHOLARSHIP TO A MEMBER OF THE GRADUATING CLASS OF NEW SMYRNA BEACH HIGH SCHOOL EACH YEAR. NO SCHOLARSHIPS WERE GIVEN DURING THIS TAX FISCAL YEAR DUE TO COVID-19. HOWEVER, SCHOLARSHIPS ARE RESUMING EFFECTIVE JULY 2022.
