THE LEAGUE IS A NON-PARTISAN, NON-PROFIT MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION THAT REPRESENTS ALL 39 MUNICIPALITIES OF PALM BEACH COUNTY AND OVER 80 ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTS, NON-PROFITS AND BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS. THE PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE AND ADVANCE THE COLLECTIVE INTEREST OF THE MUNICIPALITIES OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA; TO STUDY MUNICIPAL ISSUES AND SEEK DESIRED RESULTS THROUGH COOPERATIVE EFFORT; TO RESPECT THE PRINCIPLES OF HOME RULE; AND TO ENCOURAGE AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE CITIZENS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY.

THE CRUICKSHANK SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH ACADEMIC ENDEAVORS TO QUALIFIED HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS AND EXPENSE STIPENDS FOR MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES PURSUING CONTINUING EDUCATION IN THE FIELDS OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS, POLITICAL SCIENCE, CRIMINAL JUSTICE, PUBLIC SAFETY, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, AND URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING.
