PARENT-CHILD EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: OUR HOME VISITING SERVICES AND EDUCATIONAL PLAYGROUPS UTLIZE RESEARCHINFORMED ACTIVITIES TO HELP PARENTS BUILD STRONG, HEALTHY ATTACHMENTS WITH THEIR INFANTS AND TODDLERS WHILE LEARNING TOGETHER. CHAMPIONS' DEVELOPMENTAL SCREENINGS FOR CHILDREN HELP PARENTS LEARN ABOUT THEIR CHILD'S PROGRESS, WHAT TO DO WHEN THERE ARE CONCERNS, AND HOW BEST TO SUPPORT THEM AS THEY GROW. IT INCLUDES BABY BUNGALOW, GREAT WE GROW, HEALTHY FAMILIES, LAYLA'S HOUSE, AND PARENTS AS TEACHERS (PAT). BABY BUNGALOW IS AN EARLY CHILDHOOD LEARNING AND RESOURCE CENTER FOR PARENTS, CAREGIVERS AND THEIR CHILDREN FROM BIRTH TO AGE 5 IN THE WEST AND SOUTH TAMPA AREAS. THE PLAYGROUPS, WORKSHOPS, AND DEVELOPMENT SCREENINGS
FAMILY EDUCATION & INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORTS: OUR CLASSES, GROUPS, AND INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORTS ARE ROOTED IN SCIENCE AND DESIGNED TO HELP PARENTS DEVELOP SKILLS TO RAISE HEALTHY, THRIVING CHILDREN. IT INCLUDES: A BREASTFEEDING AND CHILDBIRTH (ABC) PROGRAM, THE FAMILY LEARNING CENTER, FATHERS RESOURCE AND NETWORKING COMMUNITY (FRANC), AND POSITIVE PARENTING & PARTNERSHIP (P3). A BREASTFEEDING AND CHILDBIRTH (ABC) PROGRAM PROVIDES EDUCATION AND SUPPORT TO FAMILIES WHO ARE EXPECTING A CHILD OR RECENTLY WELCOMED A NEW CHILD INTO THEIR LIFE. PRENATAL CLASSES LED BY CERTIFIED SPECIALISTS COVER TOPICS FROM WHAT TO EXPECT DURING LABOR AND DELIVERY TO PREPARING TO BE A FIRST-TIME MOM OR DAD.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION: AT CHAMPIONS FOR CHILDREN, WE BELIEVE THAT EVERY CHILD DESERVES TO FEEL SAFE AT HOME AND TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE. BY EDUCATING CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN OUR COMMUNITY ABOUT WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN, WE SPREAD THE POWERFUL IMPACT OF OUR PROGRAMS FAR BEYOND THE CHILDREN, PARENTS, AND CAREGIVERS WHO DIRECTLY PARTICIPATE IN THEM.
