THE 4-H CLUB FOUNDATION PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH AND ADULT VOLUNTEERS THROUGH CAMPING AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTERS. PARTICIPANTS IN THE CAMPS PAY REGISTRATION FEES TO COVER HOUSING, FOOD, TRAVEL, AND OTHER COSTS NOT PROVIDED FROM OTHER SOURCES.
THE FLORIDA 4-H LEGISLATURE IS A FIVE DAY LEARNING LABORATORY IN STATE GOVERNMENT DESIGNED TO GIVE PARTICIPANTS EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES SUCH AS LEARNING ABOUT THE FUNCTIONS OF STATE LEVEL GOVERNMENT, BECOMING INFORMED ABOUT THE STATE SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT, SERVING AS MOCK LEGISLATORS, REPORTERS OR LOBBYIST, MEETING IN THE COMMITTEE ROOMS OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AS WELL AS THE SENATE CHAMBERS, AND TOURING THE STATE CAPITAL, SUPREME COURT, ARCHIVES AND/OR OTHER STATE BUILDINGS.
4-H UNIVERSITY IS A PROGRAM FOR MEMBERS FROM ACROSS THE STATE AND BEYOND FOCUSED ON LEADERSHIP AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT ALONGSIDE UNIVERSITY FACULTY AND PROFESSIONAL LEADERS. PROGRAMS INCLUDE COMPETITIVE SESSIONS ALONG WITH EDUCATIONAL AND SERVICE LEARNING WORKSHOPS IN A VARIETY OF SUBJECTS RELATING TO ACADEMIC AND CAREER EXPLORATION OPPORTUNITIES.
