THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH THIS ASSOCIATION IS FORMED IS TO FOSTER AND ENCOURAGE A HIGH STANDARD OF BUSINESS ETHICS FOR THE ROAD AND BRIDGE CONTRACTING INDUSTRY AND ITS ALLIED INDUSTRIES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

GRANTED SEVEN SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $32,000 DURING 2022. SEVEN RECIPIENTS WILL RECEIVE THEIR SCHOLARSHIP IN ANNUAL INSTALLMENTS OF $1,000 TO $1,500 PER YEAR OVER FOUR YEARS CONCLUDING IN 2025. ACTUAL DISBURSEMENTS DURING 2022 FOR PAST AND CURRENT SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS TOTALED $29,500 AND ENCOMPASSED A TOTAL OF 22 RECIPIENTS. SEE SCHEDULE I - PART IV, SUPPLEMENTAL INFO AND SCHEDULE O, FOR FURTHER DETAILS ON THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.


THE ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION OF SO FLORIDA SERVES AS A CATALYST IN FOSTERING AND ENCOURAGING A HIGH STANDARD OF BUSINESS ETHICS FOR THE ROAD AND BRIDGE CONTRACTING INDUSTRY AND THOSE FIRMS DOING BUSINESS WITH WHAT IS KNOWN TODAY AS ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH PROMOTING INFORMATION EXCHANGE AND SOCIAL NETWORKING AMONG MEMBERS OF THE ROAD AND BRIDGE CONTRACTING INDUSTRY AND ITS ALLIED INDUSTRIES. PROMOTED GOODWILL AND CONFIDENCE AMONG THE ENGINEERING CONTRACTORS, THEIR ALLIED INDUSTRIES AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC, BY ORGANIZING AND CONDUCTING MEETINGS AND EVENTS FOR THEIR MEMBERS. EVENTS INCLUDE THE ANNUAL BBQ, THE FISHING AND GOLF TOURNAMENTS, SPORT SOCIAL EVENT AS WELL AS GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS.
