THE PURPOSE OF THE FLORIDA FARM BUREAU WOMEN'S PROGRAM IS TO HARNESS THE TALENTS AND SKILLS OF OUR WOMEN TO ASSIST IN IMPLEMENTING FARM BUREAU POLICY, GOALS AND OBJECTIVES. ANY WOMAN THAT IS A FARM BUREAU MEMBER IS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL ACTIVITIES. THE FLORIDA FARM BUREAU FEDERATION'S WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE IS COMPRISED OF A DISTRICT WOMEN'S CHAIR FROM EACH FIELD DISTRICT AND A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE YOUNG FARMER AND RANCHERS COMMITTEE. THE COMMITTEE HOSTS THE ANNUAL STATE WOMEN'S CONFERENCE, DEVELOPS AN ANNUAL PLAN AND HELPS COORDINATE COUNTY WOMEN'S COMMITTEE ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT OUR STATE INITIATIVES.
THE OVERACHING MISSION OF THE FLORIDA FARM BUREAU'S YOUNG FARMER AND RANCHER PROGRAM IS TO ENSURE FLORIDA FARM BUREAU FEDERATION WILL HAVE EFFECTIVE LEADERSHIP INT HE FUTURE. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES THAT STATE Y&R LEADERSHIP GROUP, A SELECT GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS BETWEEN 18 AND 35 YEARS OF AGE WHO PARTICIPATE IN A TWO YEAR LEADERSHIP CURRICULUM THAT INCLUDES INSTRUCTION AND TRAVEL EXPERIENCES. THE GROUP ALSO HOSTS THE ANNUAL YOUNG FARMER AND RANCHER CONFERENCE THAT IS ATTENDED BY MEMBERS FROM AROUND THE STATE. ATTESTING TO THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THIS PROGRAM IS THE FACT THAT BOTH OUR STATE PRESIDENT AND VARIOUS BOARD MEMBERS ARE ALUMNI OF THE PROGRAM.
THE COUNTY RECOGNITION PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO RECOGNIZE COUNTY FARM BUREAUS FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS IN MEETING THEIR MEMBER'S NEEDS AND SUPPORTING STATE POLICY IMPLEMENATION GOALS. IT PROVIDES A MEANS FOR COUNTY FARM BUREAUS TO SHARE SUCCESSFUL PROGRAM IDEAS. IT ALSO AIMS TO PROVIDE A "ROADMAP FOR SUCCESS" THAT WILL HELP COUNTY LEADERS PLAN AND EXECUTE PROGRAMS THAT BENEFIT MEMBERS AND SUPPORT FARM BUREAU POLICY GOALS.
