EDUCATION: WESLEYAN IS AN INDEPENDENT K-12 SCHOOL WITH A COLLEGE PREPARATORY CURRICULUM. THERE IS A LOWER, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL LOCATED ON 85+ ACRES WITH 6 MAIN BUILDINGS, 10 FACULTY HOUSES, 3 CHAPELS, 2 LIBRARIES AND 2 DINING HALLS. ALL MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE GIVEN A SCHOOL ISSUED COMPUTER TABLET FOR USE IN THEIR STUDIES. THE FINE ARTS PROGRAM UTILIZES A 470 SEAT THEATRE, A BLACK BOX THEATRE, DRAWING, PAINTING AND CERAMIC ROOMS, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL BAND AND CHORALE STUDIOS AND 18 INDIVIDUAL SOUNDPROOF PRACTICE CHAMBERS. THE ATHLETICS PROGRAM HAVE ACCESS TO 4 GYMNASIUMS, 11 TENNIS COURTS, INDIVIDUAL FOOTBALL, BASEBALL, SOFTBALL FIELDS AND STADIUMS, A COMPETITION TRACK AND FIELD COMPLEX, A 10 LANE POOL/2-DIVE WELL NATATORIUM, 2 BEACH VOLLEYBALL COURTS, 2 WEIGHT ROOMS, AN ADDITIONAL 5 FIELD COMPLEX INCLUDING AN ARTIFICIAL TURF FIELD FOR SOCCER AND LACROSSE AS WELL AS A PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED CROSS COUNTRY COURSE THROUGHOUT CAMPUS. STARTING ENROLLMENT FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR WAS 1171. THE 2021 GRADUATING CLASS HAD 122 STUDENTS WITH 98% POSTGRADUATE ACCEPTANCE TO 124 DIFFERENT FOUR-YEAR COLLEGES AND RECEIVED $9.2 MILLION IN MERIT AND ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS.
