THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OF THE BRIGHTEST STUDENTS, SEEK AND FUND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH, FOSTER STUDENT SCIENTISTS AND PROMOTE CAREERS IN THE POULTRY AND EGG INDUSTRY.

POULTRY SCIENCE DEPARTMENT FUNDING THE USPOULTRY FOUNDATION FUNDS RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION EFFORTS AT COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES WITH POULTRY SCIENCE DEPARTMENTS.
CHARLES BEARD RESEARCH EXCELLENCE AWARD THE GOAL OF THIS AWARD IS TO RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING COMPLETED RESEARCH PROJECTS, FUNDED BY USPOULTRY OR THE USPOULTRY FOUNDATION, WHICH HAVE MADE A SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE POULTRY INDUSTRY. COLLEGE STUDENT CAREER PROGRAM (CSCP) THE COLLEGE STUDENT CAREER PROGRAM IS ONE-OF-A KIND IN THE POULTRY INDUSTRY. THE STUDENTS ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE ARE SENIORS OR GRADUATE STUDENTS FROM A FOUR-YEAR PROGRAM WITH VARIOUS MAJORS. UNDERCLASSMEN SEEKING INTERNSHIPS ARE ALSO ELIGIBLE TO INTERVIEW.
INDUSTRY EDUCATION AND RECRUITMENT THE FOUNDATION ADDED THE POULTRY SCIENCE EDUCATION FUND, NOW NAMED INDUSTRY EDUCATION RECRUITMENT FUNDING, UNDER ITS UMBRELLA IN 2004. THE FUND SUPPORTS STUDENT RECRUITMENT AT COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES THAT ENCOURAGE CAREERS IN THE POULTRY INDUSTRY. ANY INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE UNITED STATES THAT OFFERS AN IDENTIFIABLE POULTRY PROGRAM OR CAN SHOW PLAUSIBLE WAYS OF CONNECTING STUDENTS WITH THE POULTRY INDUSTRY IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A RECRUITMENT GRANT OF UP TO 7,000.
RESEARCH THE DATA GENERATED FROM THE RESEARCH FUNDED BY USPOULTRY AND THE USPOULTRY FOUNDATION PROVIDES INDUSTRY MEMBERS WITH INFORMATION THAT IS NOT ONLY USEFUL IMMEDIATELY BUT ALSO CREATES THE BASE FOR CONDUCTING FUTURE RESEARCH ON TOMORROW'S PROBLEMS.
